Class A Foam Compound

Class A foam concentrate provides excellent extinguishments of class A fires by providing deep penetration of the water into the burning material. At low concentrations it is also highly effective as a wetting agent. Class A foam concentrate is also effective on smaller class B fires.

Description

Class A foam concentrate compound is a specially selected blend of high activity hydrocarbon surfactants, solvents and stabilisers for use on class A fires and smaller class B fires. Class A foam concentrate does not contain any hazardous substances and does not require any special labelling when transported.

Application

Class A foam concentrate compound provides excellent extinguishments of class A fires by providing deep penetration of the water into the burning material. At low concentrations it is also highly effective as a wetting agent. Class A foam concentrate is also effective on smaller class B fires. Class A foam concentrate can be used with both aspirating and non-aspirating discharge devices. It is compatible with all dry chemical powders.

Proportioning rate:

Grass and initial structural fires: 0.1%- 0.3%
Tyre fires, Landfill fires, Coal fires, wildland fires and structures fires: 0.3%- 0.5%
Large building fires, car/vehicle fires: 0.5%- 0.7%
Heat radiation resistance: 0.7%- 1.0%

Storage / Shelf life

Stored in original unbroken packaging the product will have a shelf life of 8 years at least. As with all foams, shelf life will be dependent on storage temperatures and conditions. If the product is frozen during storage or transport, thawing will render the product completely usable.
